You shouldn't need to uninstall it. Try this. If it starts automatically on boot up, go to the run dialogue and type in msconnfig and enter. Shift tab once then right arrow until you get to startup. tab once which will take you into the list of items that is running on startup. If windows messenger is checked then uncheck it. Tab to apply and enter then tab to close. You will then be asked if you wish to restart the computer or restart later. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Peter" <peterholdstock@xxxxxxx>

Haven't used XP for a few years so don't remember.Peter -------------------------------------------------- From: "James Scholes" <james@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Wednesday, December 24, 2008 1:34 PM To: "Peter" <access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Subject: [access-uk] Re: NC10Hello,You can remove Windows Messenger using a tool called Zap Messenger. Windows Messaging Service is a core component of Windows, not Windows Messenger.Peter wrote: "Oh yeh sorry. If it's XP then are you sure it's not windows messenger that is loading up, not WLM. If so, you can't remove that as it's a core component of windows I think. You can stop it from running though by going to the tools menu and options in messenger and go to the general tab I think.Peter From: Steve Nutt Sent: Tuesday, December 23, 2008 7:28 PM To: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [access-uk] Re: NC10 You're horrid! <Smile>.
