Oh yeh sorry.

If it's XP then are you sure it's not windows messenger that is loading up, not 
WLM. If so, you can't remove that as it's a core component of windows I think. 
You can stop it from running though by going to the tools menu and options in 
messenger and go to the general tab I think.
