Thanks. Trouble is I'm probably into choosing presents for next year's
birthday by now ...

Interested though and keeping a watchful brief, just in case.

  Hi Carol,

The music quality from the little I heard it, is just as good as the N95.

The speakers are a little thinner in sound I would say, making Talks lack
body a bit, but otherwise it is a nice phone.

  All the best

  Steve

Anyone know what the music quality is like in comparison with others and, in
particular, the N95?

      Hi Jackie,

Just a minor point, it is not a USB port, it is a Micro USB port, which
is even smaller than a Mini USB port, so don't lose the cable if you get one.

      All the best

      Hi All

I stuck my nose out the door today in a rare trip to town. While there,
I had a nose at the N82 mobile which is the phone supporting the K-NFB Reader
software.

For anyone who hasn't seen it, the N82 has a large display which occupies
quite a chunk of the front of the handset. Below this, in the centre, is a
square which acts as your four-way joystick with an indentation in the middle
for the accept key. To the right of this square is a backspace which is a
raised button, while the menu button is an indented button to the left of the
square.

Below this, the usual keypad is raised, with a slight separation between
each column. There is a USB slot on the left-hand side of the phone, while the
call and end buttons are situated on the left and right edge of the phone.
There is a headphone socket near the power button along the top of the unit.

My impression is that I really like the buttons on this handset, but it
was attached to a bracket on the wall in the shop, so I couldn't do much with
it other than feel about. But it gave me enough movement to see it looks quite
interesting. The phone is silver, including the buttons, so I don't know what
sort of a contrast this would make for someone with useful vision.

Hope this is of some help.

      Jackie
