Uninstalling and reinstalling sapi 4 including the runtime binaries should fix the problem. I did have this problem a couple times wen running win 2k years ago. The DECtalk voice that comes with Widnow Eyes should work also as it is not a sapi 4 voice, I don't think. I am not a window eyes user but a friend of mine had a similar problem.

Good luck.

Hi Steve,
I'm using Window-Eyes 6.1 and I usually use Eloquence. When I go to the select synthesizer dialogue in Window-Eyes, all the Sapi voices are listed, but only the Sapi 5 voices will work, which means I can't use Eloquence so I'm stuck with Microsoft, Daniel or Scansoft Lee which are okay but not ideal. If you can work this one out for me, you'll be my friend for life, not that you aren't already ! ! !

Cheers,
Sandra.
