This is quite normal, but we need to know what version of Word you are using
to advise on file saving options.

  Subject: [access-uk] My Documents

  Hi,

A very strange thing keeps happening nearly every time I create a file in MS
word and save it in the My Documents folder. I create various folders within My
Documents that I save files into, but what is happening, is that each time I
create a new file and save it, temporary files are being created automatically
it seems. These file names always start with a Tilde and end with the TMP
extension. I can delete them without any damage to the original file, I would
just like to know why they are being created and if I can do anything to stop
this from happening.

  Shea
