Kevin you are such a help, no it was definitely the same ID but it does say
buy 99p. I looked at the album as well and it said complete your album,
which I didn't want to d but when I found the song in both cases it said buy
song not play like it normally does, so I'm flummoxed.

Hi Mandy.

That is strange.

When you search for that song in the iTunes store, do you see the price or
the buy button or does it show you a purchased button?

If you don't see the purchased button and can see a price instead, it
suggests that it wasn't purchased using your current apple id.  Could that
be possible?

Regards.

Kevin

Hi Kevin, I went to the purchased items on the phone like you advised and I
went to every single song, the song is Happy by Farrell Williams and it was
a single. It is just not there but it is still available in the Itunes store
which is really strange. Thanks to you I did find a song that I didn't know
was missing and downloaded it again but not Happy, it is just not there.
Funnily enough it is still on my computer from when I copied it over to
Itunes from my phone, so the whole thing is very odd. Does it mean I have to
repurchase that song? Most annoying.
Mandy
Thanks so much for your help.

Hi Mandy.

How are you viewing your purchased music?  Are you using the music app and
locating the Purchased and Purchased Music playlists from the Playlist tab
in the Library?

I have both of these playlists available when I am in the library and I'm
not sure why.  However, all of my purchased music is there.  Have you got
the music app set to show downloaded music only?  That will obviously only
show purchased music that is downloaded to your device if that is set.

Or, are you using the iTunes app to view your purchases?

Another question, when you find the song in the iTunes store, does the
Purchased button show meaning that your apple id is recognised as already
having bought that song?  If you still see the price or the buy button then
your apple id is not associated with that song...

Regards.

Kevin

Hi Kevin, another thing, I can't find my full  list of purchased songs on
the phone which is weird, it only shows the last 3 songs I've purchased but
when I go to the list of songs they are all there except for that one song.

Hi Mandy.

You may have already done this but in case you haven't, this is how you
bring back a purchased song that you may have lost or inadvertently deleted:

1.  Start iTunes
2.  Tab to the Store radio button and press spacebar 3.  Tab or shift tab
until you are in the iTunes store page 4.  Locate the Purchased link at the
bottom of the page and press enter 5.  When the purchased page has loaded
fully, set the combo box to "Not in my library"
6.  You should now be able to browse the results and locate the song 7.
When you have found it, press enter on that song to activate it and you
should see either an Unhide button or a download button, either of these
should bring your song back

Regards.

Kevin

Hi, I don't know if this has happened to anyone but I bought a track from
Itunes a couple of years ago. When I checked my purchased items the song was
not there anymore but when I checked on Itunes the song was still available
but it didn't say play when I found the song which it normally does when
you've purchased the song. How do I get the song back, do I have to contact
them but of course I have no proof that I have purchased the song and I
think it's a cheek if I have to purchase it again. All my other purchased
music is there, very strange. Mandy
