Hi Ian,
You had better translate the Bairns for the Southerners! Smile!
Norman.

Wow John, your friend’s collection sounds very impressive. We’ve had since
the bairns were young a Simpsons monopoly set (Not Braille adapted by the
way) which has never proved problematic to me. I’ve also recently heard of a
Game Of Thrones set which has recently come out which I would love to
experience.

Dear list,
Please use caution and avoid Monopoly sets based in different countries.
Going back many years ago I was on holiday in the USA and I went to the shop in San Francisco selling goods for one of the American blind institutions; I cannot remember which one. There was a monopoly set there which I bought with great anticipation.
I could never really get on with it as all of the streets were totally unfamiliar. That is, I always knew that Old Kent Road was a very cheap place while the real ones to go for were Park Lane and Mayfair. I did not know which properties were which colour and hence their value.
There are many different sets of monopoly available in the sighted world. A former colleague of mine collected them and had around a thousand different sets.

Hi Mike
I believe Cobolt Systems does, but whether this is based on the UK game I'm not sure.

Hello folks
I just did a search in the online RNIB shop for Monopoly, and of course, nothing, since they now don't appear to sell more than about half-a-dozen things.
Anybody got any ideas where I can get a Braille or otherwise accessible version of Monopoly?
Mike
