my son is with vodaphone, he says he my get a deal so he is going to phone then this afternoon.

Hi Barry
The way it normally works is that you choose one of the handsets they are offering with TALKS, at the moment the N70. You pay for the phone, and they send it away to have the TALKS software put on it. They normally ring you about a week later so you collect it at the store. I have known about six people in my area do this so far, and they have all been happy with their purchase.
To my knowledge, Vodafone will charge you the full price for TALKS if you purchase a mobile elsewhere and ask them to put the software onto it for you. They will only give you it free if you buy it as part of one of their bundles, as in the N70.

Voda are still doing the N70 with £20 Pay-As-You-Talk credit for £100. They also put TALKS on it free of charge with that model.

I'm after a basic Nokia mobile with camera for my mother. I don't want a flip or slide opening and I don't need the multi-media or gps stuff on it.
