Hi Barry I made a mistake. My niece says that Apple does not allow for numbers to Be transferred. I take it that's not correct. When I asked her what reason she was given she says Apple's security. My understanding is that she had an iphone and now has a new one. And the issue was to transferrer the mobile number over To the new handset Sim. Ask whoever the provider is to port the old number onto the new SIM. Just provide the SIM number from new SIM. Any provider can do this. Either the rep is ill-informed or cant' be bothered. She says she has been told that she must have new mobile number, If the new SIM is different (ie size) to the old SIM. So for example if the old SIM was from an old handset, and she wants An upgraded handset, then she has to have a new mobile number. Is this true ? However this link here: http://tinyurl.com/385zbc5 Does seem to suggest that if the new handset SIM, is with The same Company as the old mobile, the company can easily Transfere the telephone number to the new SIM. If yes I am surprised not all sales staff know how!
