Peter, There are still loads of microwaves which are perfectly accessible by
most blind people without modification.  Even touchscreens are easily marked
in Braille or some other way in my experience.  Take a look at Sharp or
Panasonic.

My Cobolt talking microwave seems to have given up the ghost after 10 years.

I could of course simply buy another one, but does anyone have any
recommendations for an accessible microwave which is cheaper - it doesn't
necwessarily have to speak.
