Hi Carol,
My deepest apologies for not replying to your message in a more timely
manner.
I have included a link below which you can use to either:
1. Use your current email address to register for a Microsoft Account.
2. Create a new Outlook email address and register for a Microsoft Account.

Previously I have used this email address (I.e. gmail), as my Microsoft
Account, but I recently changed the address used to Hotmail.
I hope this helps, and again I apologies for the long wait.
Kind regards,
Niall

Hi Niall,
I've read your blog and found it useful. I shall hold on to the URl for
future reference.
I notice you signed in with your Hotmail address.
I wonder if you, or anyone else, knows of any other email addresses that
are accepted for this purpose. I have past versions of MS Office
somewhere, but can't find a very recent one so think I'm entitled to use it
... I'm a very casual user these days, just for the occasional letter,
instructions for someone, but not too much else, but I have to log in
ligitimately somehow.

Dear All,
Apologies if this is not of interest to you.
I have recently written a blog post concerning the Microsoft Office iOS
apps which are available.
It is possible to use the said apps with OneDrive on your desktop.
Therefore, you can start a document or spreadsheet on your iDevice, and
finish it later on your desktop if desired.
I think the post will be of most benefit to students and/or casual
productivity users.
