Hi Janet

If you hold the device with the buttons and screen to the bottom and the
speaker towards the top, the buttons are as follows:

There are three buttons nearest to you: back, play and forward.  The record
button is a larger button above the screen.  The up and down buttons are on the
right side along with the headphone socket.  the micro USB and switch to turn
it on and off are at the bottom nearest to you.

Plug the USB cable in and connect to the computer to access the internal
memory.  There is a Record folder, and two documents in the root, one a PDF and
the other a DOC.  There is also an MP3 guide in the same place.

I hope that helps.

Kind regards,

Jackie Brown

Hi Jackie

I found the mp3 on the recorder but it didn't tell me where the buttons were
and I hnhave not found the other guides you talk about.

please can you tell me where they are?  Janet

Hi David

There are PDF and Word versions of the instructions on the machine.  So if
you hook it up to your computer, you will be able to grab them.  There is
also an MP3 guide that, when you press play, will tell you what's what.

Kind regards,

Jackie Brown

Hi

I have just purchased one of these from Steve, and I wonder if there are
accessible instructions?

Hi Henry

It is just the job if you don't want studio quality, but something that is
simple to operate for taking down notes and numbers etc.  It has a good
quality speaker though so is very tolerable.

Subject: [access-uk] Micro Speak recorder

Further to Steve's post yesterday on the new Micro Speak device he is
selling for £39.99, I received my unit this morning and thought I would
share my very early impressions.

At this point, my device is charging, and I have only recorded one short
test message to ascertain quality and ease of use.

This is an ideal unit if you want to record notes or meetings in simplistic
fashion.  The unit has four distinguishable buttons and plenty of
audible/spoken prompts.  If you don't want to spend a lot of money on the
excellent Olympus range, some models having no speech feedback at all, then
the Micro Speak is definitely a worthy alternative.

I will write my full review once I have played with it a little more, and
will let you know when it goes up on my website.  Suffice it to say though
that this is a welcome addition to simple recording devices with nice, clear
instructions.

Kind regards,

Jackie Brown
