Hi all, sorry for the cross posting.
I connect to the internet here at university via a proxy server that
requires authentication. This works great in both IE7 and Firefox,
however programmes like Windows Live Messenger? Well basically I can
talk to people then all of a sudden, without any reason, I get signed
out. When I try to sign back in, it claims that the service is
temporarily unavailable before letting me back in, then the same thing
happens. Now this is what's strange. If I connect to MSN directly, for
example through software that tunnels the proxy server, it never signs
out. What should I do? I was thinking of buying a product that does
this, Proxifier, but are there any free ones out there? I currently use
FreeCap to bypass the proxy, however it doesn't seem to work with
Windows Live. Thanks, and I look forward to hearing from you.
