Hi Teresa, I'm a bit late getting back on this one, but try changing your security settings to Medium, or perhaps even low. You can achieve this from Tools, Options, and the Security Tab. Of course it goes without saying, make sure you have a decent anti-virus package to compensate for the drop in Security in Word itself. I didn't know why I had started getting these messages, but because I have Scansoft PDF Converter on my computer I thought it must have been something to do with that, so I think I checked the box that said "Always trust macros from this source" or whatever it is. Since then when I have opened Microsoft Word I have been getting several messages:- 1. "Microsoft Office Word dialog. This file contains macros with a revoked or expired signature. Since you are running under high security levels, these macros will be disabled". The only option is to click OK so I do this. Then:- 2. "Microsoft Visual Basic Dialog. The macros in this project are disabled. Please refer to the online help or documentation of the host application to determine how to enable macros". Then I have to click OK or Help. I choose OK because I don't want to find out how to enable any macros. Then Word will finally open. This happens when I am opening Microsoft Word from scratch, rather than opening a particular file, say, from Explorer or an e-mail attachment. When I open a file from Explorer or an e-mail attachment, I get an additional message before the first one that says:"Microsoft Office Word dialog. The command cannot be performed because a dialog box is open. Click OK, then close all open dialog boxes to continue". So I click OK and the file opens. Then when I close Microsoft Word I get the message about Microsoft Visual Basic again and have to click OK before Microsoft Word will close. Can anyone tell me what 'shappening here and how I can sort it out?
