Hi,

Likewise I cannot think how the installation of the compatibility pack would
cause the problems you describe. I use Office 2007 a lot myself and love it
over 2003, but 2003 never gave me any trouble either.

The only thing I can suggest is a repair install or reset to defaults to see
if this may fix the issue. Also, are you certain your screen reader hasn't
thrown a fit? I only ask as I've heard of cases where scripts, etc can go
funny after upgrades or add-on installs.

HTH.

Hi Shea,

I've installed the Office Compatibility pack on quite a few systems
now and can honestly say that I've not seen any of the problems you
describe. I hate Office 2007 with a vengence, and so have 2003 on
quite a few of my own systems at the office and at home.

George.

Subject: [access-uk] MS compatibility pac

Hi,
I'm wondering if anyone has had issues with MS word after installing
the Compatibility pac from the MS website. I have noticed two things:
One, after installing the compatibility pac, my spell checker settings
reverted back to American English. I had it set on either Canadian or
UK English (pretty much the same thing) I cannot seem to switch it
back. Another thing, which has just come up now is that when I press
Control+I to turn Italics on, it will not go off when I press the same
key stroke to toggle it off. Wondering if there is something I can do
to fix this. Have noticed other problems as well, but difficult to
explain. I guess the only way I can describe it, is that MS word is
just a bit more temperamental than before. Any suggestions or ideas
would be greatly appreciated Thanks so much.
