Even if it were an mp3 disc, the talking book machine would do the job. However, it isn't free as someone would have to pay the talking book subscription.

Does a regular mp3 CD player play Calibre disks? I thought Calibre used the DAISY format and hence an RNIB talking book player - free of charge - would do the job. -----Original Message----- From: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of roger south Sent: 22 October 2009 08:45 To: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [access-uk] Re: MP3 player Hi Steve Because of your mention of Calibre I would assume most likely a blind/PS person. Low budget would assume low income so why not approach Wireless for the Blind? This isfor anelderly person who doesn't want to create their own mp3's on a puterbutsimply to play the caliber mp3 cd's. Potentially, they would like a ghetto blaster type player with radio and maybe tape. Budget needs tobefairly low here. Anyone any suggestions?
