Caroline

I hope in a way I don't have to go back to Jaws 10 as my upgrade was because
work are upgrading to Windows 7 and Office 2010 next year and version 10 won't
work with them I don't think.

  Hello Phil,

I've had exactly the same problem with every build of Jaws since version 11
came out, both with Notes 7 and 8.5.1. I have reported the problem to Freedom
Scientific, but haven't heard anything from them about whether they intend to
fix it or not. I have to deal with up to 100 e-mails a day and found Notes so
unusable that I have had to switch back to Jaws 10 which doesn't seem to have
the same problem. I believe putting the message into the virtual cursor is
what's causing the delay. I have also found that, if I delete a message while
it is still on screen, the virtual cursor does not update to show the next
message as it should do, but continues to show the message I have just deleted.

Sorry I can't suggest anything else except for reverting to Jaws 10, but it
might also be worth you contacting Freedom Scientific as the more people who do
so, the more likely they are to do something about it.

  Caroline.

  Hi List

I use Lotus Notes at work with XP Pro, IE7 and Jaws Pro 11.146.

Over the last couple of months when I enter to open an email, it opens
immediately on screen but Jaws will not read it. It sometimes takes anything
up to 30 to 45 seconds before bringing it into focus. I also somethimes have
to control tab out of the folder and back in before it will read it.

Has anyone come across this before and if so can anyone help with this
problem as its really frustrating?

  Phil Roberts
