He can explain the difference between running JAWS as a "Program" and as a "Service". It will then make sense to your network people. At work instead of closing down the computer completely, they like us just to log off in case of updates overnight. My problem is that I have just upgraded from JAWS 6.1 to 7.0 and when using 6.1 it would speak on the log on screen but now in 7.0 it stops talking as soon as I press the button to log off. I need to enter passwords etc. as I am connected to a server. I am using XP Pro as I said with JAWS 7.0. I have compared settings between 6.1 and 7.0 and they are the same. could this have been caused by an update by my employers. They don't seem to have a clue what it can be. Look forward to hearing soon. Phil Roberts wednesbury
