Hi Alison.
If you have a smartphone, either of the Apple or Android persuasion or for that
matter a tablet, you should be able to control your Sky box with an app like
the Sky Plus app. Not everyone can get Sky q, as much as I’d like it, my Arial
installation in our block of flats has not been and probably won’t be upgraded
to support it for the foreseeable future.

I have audio description enabled on Sky, so when I flick through channels it
bleeps if I land on a channel with audio description, and to be fair the
numbers increase as time goes by.
But the other day I wanted to see David Attenborough’s Dynasty programme about
the Emperror Penguin and I missed a huge chunk of the programme as I zapped
through the channels trying to find BBC1 with audio description. I think it is
time I made a list of my favourite channels.

Hi Alison, I think you have to go into the menu on your sky box and switch
audio description on and then when it is available it will play. there used to
be a channel for bbc1 audio description but I can’t remember what it was. as it
is such a long time since I had a sky box but I am sure others will point you
