Hi all

For a fully sighted non screen reader user planning to buy a netbook for
nothing more than internet browsing, emailing and typing the odd simple
document such as a letter or shopping list, what would be the advantages or
disadvantages of a linux based device as opposed to a windows xp one? The user
in question is a basic user with little knowledge of the workings of a pc
beyond turning it on. Off and a few basic tasks in between. The netbooks with
linux are quite a bit cheaper, is this reflected in their usability? Would be
glad to hear if anyome knows anything about them.
