I think  I maybe a  Linked In  member, but I have never
made or  tried to  make contact with  anyone, that way.

Hi Derek,

Imagine Facebook for professionals. Instead of friends, you have
connections who tend to be people you've worked with across your
career. It's also increasingly used in recruitment.

You can invite people to connect and these are a bit like Facebook
friend requests. These will appear to emanate from Linked In. Cheers,

Ed

btopenworld.com
so I am  truly  confused.
