Mark, No I do not think the latest documentation is quite as intuitive as the Ken Gould manual. The problem though with the previous manual is that it only covers features and functionality up to writing scripts with jaws 3.7 and I could not have learned scripting without it, I can definitely say that. The other problem is that it did not cover the documentation and explanation of each and every one of the functions, even with jaws 3.7. My advice is to learn scripting from the K Gould manual, and the main menu archive which contains a scripting tutorial, both of which take different slants on the usability of jaws scripting. Then, use the new manual as a glossary and reference tool to supplement what you know. -----Original Message----- From: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Mark Matthews Sent: 07 August 2004 19:29 To: jaws-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx; access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [access-uk] Latest scripting manual HI, Is it just me, or is the latest scripting manual not as beginner-friendly? This is the one that ships with 5.0, and therefore covers all the latest functions added etc. Is the previous one in circulation by Kennith Gould supposed to be used in conjunction however?
