Hi Darren,

Yes I tweeted that 2.0 wasn't accessible and my tweet darn near went viral.
All the blind army came out of the woodwork <Smile>, so I guess they'll fix
it.

In fact, I just had a tweet from @malwarebytes themselves saying that 2.1
would address this problem.

All the best

Steve

I've heard back from Malware Bytes this afternoon, those of us bothered by
the recent update to 2.0 will find a link to download 1.75 if needed in the
below email.

Here's their reply.

Thank you for your report. We are making sure a future release adds this
functionality to our new program version.

You can download a 1.75 setup file here:
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/malwarebytes-anti-malware/

There is a Download Now version 1.75 button on that page. This is a direct
link:
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/malwarebytes-anti-malware/dl/241/

You can continue to use the old version for the foreseeable future. The
rules for both versions are compatible. When the rules update checks for new

rules, the default is that it also checks to see if a new version of the
program is available or not. If so, it downloads it and notifies you it is
ready for installation. That is controlled in the top two check boxes of the

Settings -> Updater Settings sub-tab. You can remove the check marks in
those and you will not be prompted to update the main program. We have not
turned on the automatic switch to upgrade to 2.0 yet but will likely do so
next week.

You can download it manually when you are ready.

Please let us know if you need further assistance.
