Hi Chris - I was given the option to save this network, and connect automatically; what the problem is, is that the laptop has connected to the network, but hasn't got access to the internet. It looks like I need to do something so that the laptop has access to the internet when on the etwork - Andy ----- Original Message ----- From: "Chris Hallsworth" <christopherhallsworth71@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Thursday, March 06, 2008 6:15 PM Subject: [access-uk] Re: Laptop connection to network problem | Hi Andy, although this wireless connection I use here uses WPA-personal, | another type of encryption, you may want to look in your wireless | connection's properties, under the security page. You may be able to | enter the wep key there. I know you can enter this network's | WPA-personal key there as well, so this is just a stab in the dark. | Going back to your "connect to" query, when you first connect to the | network you should have been given options to "save the network", | "connect to the network automatically", etc. If not, you may again be | able to set these in the connection's properties. If you want to know | how to get there in the first place, give us a shout. Hope that helps. | | Andy Collins wrote: | > Hi all - | > | > When I try to 'connect to a network' with my laptop, I get the message: | > | > "connection unsuccessful.
