when you check on the lg website it appears as if the new 2020 magic
remote wont work with older models, but looking down the reviews on
amazon for this 2020 version of the magic remote there are plenty of
people who took the chance and found it works perfectly with their older
models including the 2019 tvs.
if you buy the older model of the magic remote they charge £7 more than
for the new version.
