Yes, you will get instructions on the RNIB website about using the accessable kindle and all books have tts voice on the pc version by default. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Ari Damoulakis" <aridamoulakis@xxxxxxxxx>

I downloaded the accessible kindle and I still couldn't see how to
start reading books or where to get proper help. Is this accessible
kindle program really working properly and doing all it say it does?
Also, what about books if the TTS is disabled?
Thanks
Ari

The Kindle for PC is the accessable kindle for pc. Can you check and see if
you have the correct one, it is about 250MB and the standard one is 70MB.
If you do not have the correct one, then put in to Google Search accessable
kindle for pc and it will come up and you download it from Amazon. You
should be aware that your screen reader will read the menus but you just
have the male and female voices to actually read the book.

Hi. I've downloaded and installed the PC version of the Kindle app. So far I'm not impressed with it as it's not accessible. Is this the same for all
screenreaders?
