I believe it is approximately £149 from Amazon, and that the work-around is
to order books via the PC as opposed to directly from Kindle.
Never having seen one, I am only going from what others here and on BCAB
have posted.

A sighted person can order books from the device but this facility is not
accessable for a screen reader person from the device. It is sonewhere in
the region of 90 pounds.

It is on Amazon and is an older model with keyboard, the only one with
keyboard.
There is a male and female voice and you can choose either depending on how
the
moode takes you. Both voices come with it.
