When I was using an iPad Mini a year or so ago I went for the anka keyboard
case. While this considerably increased the bulk and weight of the iPad -
rather against the logic of going for a compact solution - it was a very good
keyboard and did the job really well. The alternative of buying a case and
keyboard separately seems to me a matter of swings and roundabouts. The case,
if it offers sufficient protection will also increase the bulk of the iPad and
you will also have the additional burden of carrying a keyboard. Then again
I’m currently using an eSynic bluetooth folding keyboard, model number KB052,
which folds down to something very small and is also extremely lightweight. It
also works with other IOS devices. As the old saying goes, you pays your money
and you takes your choice.
