Well I think he is only at the demo stage Jackie and even at that he has not been able to download the demo! Maybe if you know the phones he can use it on, you could advise on list, this way Andrew will know if he is wasting his time trying to download. I know the N86 and I think the N85 and N82 support the KNFB reader, though I think the tyjpe of light on the N95 is somewhat different, I heard talk of it being a yellow light!!! Of course I think it is the N95 8GB and not the N95 Standard that it will work with. Maybe with these new phones with better cameras, it might work on them, anyone have any ideas? ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jackie Cairns" <jackie.cairnsplace@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx>

I would add that you need to try and find a suitable handset on which it can
work, or else you've wasted your money!

Kind Regards,

Jackie Cairns

Andrew, I would suggest that you see a demo of the product before you buy.
take along the sort of stuff you think you'll want to scan and test drive
it. The scanning will never be as accurate as a flatbed scanner, I believe
because of the effect of ambient light on the material to be scanned. Try
before you buy.

Hi Barry Ok many thanks for that, so is it really a very easy program to use? Sounds like it would save me waiting for a support worker to read

cooking instructions for me. Is there much setting up to do with it
please Barry? Many thanks for your help I do very much appreciate the
help. Andy S

It's a matter of guessing and practice really. It's easier with a mobile
that has the camera in the middle of the phone. One tip I read was to place
the phone on the item to scan then lift it straight up about 12 inches.

Cheers

Barry
