HI Brian:

When in the reader software, press up arrow on the main five way controller
and you will get a field of view report, this will take a photo of the page
and then tell you if the reader can see all edges, or just the top, the
bottom, the left or right, or a combo of the above. It will then tell you
how much of the lens is filled with text, as a percentage. Fifty or above
is good. Hth. And for my part, I find the knfb reader really good. Hope
to hear from you soon.

From Martin.

Subject: [access-uk] KNFB reader

Hi all,

At the recent Sight village exibition, I got a demo of the KNFB reader
working with the nokia n82.

I was really impressed with this software, and also because it was so
portable.

However, the person that was exhibiting it to me was sighted, and could see
exactly where to position the camera to achieve a high result.

I am interested to hear from anyone who is totally blind, or who has little
sight using this software. How accurate do you find it, and did it take you
much time to discover where to position the camera, in order to get a high
result of accuracy from it?

All experiences both good and bad would be welcome.

Cheers,
Brian.
