I do have a point regarding Tap Tap See. They have a 20 picture trial before you are required to do an in-app purchase. So maybe KNFB Reader could provide 20 scans at no charge before requiring an in-app purchase.

Apple does not allow this according to their app submission policies.
What they could do instead like RNIB Navigator is to offer various
subscriptions, such as a price per month, a price per three months, a
price per year and so on.

It'd be good if they had a try before you buy option
that would offer say ten day trial and then stop working with a buy
option.

There are quite a few, but TextDetective, and Prizmo are two I have
tried.
If K-NFB Reader is going to be around the £60 mark, I would want better
results than I get with the above.

It's just a thought, it wasn't cheap in the guise under Symbian. It would
need to be better than what is already available before I pay that
kind of
dosh for it.

Does anyone know what the UK price is going to be for this app,
and is
anybody thinking of purchasing it? I can't help feeling that
those of us
who shelled out for the short life Symbian version, not to
mention its
stand-alone predecessor, ought to be in the running for a
discount?

Thoughts!
