Hi Ian,
The short cut key to launch K1000 is control alt K from anywhere. As for
launching on start up, I've said no to that because I have window-eyes to
start up automatically. I suppose basically, it comes down to personal
choice and with the control alt K hot key, it's easy enough to launch it
anyway.
