Thanks Jonathan,

IIs mobizarre as have had Jaws 7 on here for a couple of weeks but this is
the first time I think I've noticed this...but then again the world of
access technology is often quite bizarre I find!

Hope life in Liverpool is treating you well.

Cheers,

Phil

Good luck. I've found JAWS 7.0 to be pretty good, maybe I've been lucky as
there are some people having problems. From what you say, I guess you've
just installed it today? Trist will sort you out.

Hi Jonathan,

Susp[Suspect I'll have to give Tris a ring as as far as I can tell display
settings are all ok, no screensavers etc. Have switched to Jaws 6 and so
far so good but that's hardly a proper solution!!

Thanks anyway,

Phil

I've not heard of this happening with JAWS 7. I'm using it now, with XP Pro
and it's fine. Have you checked your display settings? Specifically, the
theme - Windows Classic is best, turn off any screen saver and set the
appearance to Classic. If it's better after this, cool. If not, give Trist
at Sight and Sound a call - he usually does the trick.

Hi,

Apologies for sending this to access-uk but not currently subscribed to
jaws-uk.

Am using Jaws 7 with Win XP pro. Have noticed this morning that when in
Outlook Jaws on occasions stops reading message titles when in 'message
list' and same with menu items etc on ohter applications. Have also just
experienced when writing this message that when trying to cursor back &
forward to read through message text jaws stopped speaking text. Is this a
specific known jaws 7 problem. Seems to be fine if I unoad Jaws and then
restart it however I've had to do so several times just to get this message
done.

Your help greatfully appreciated.

Cheers,

Phil
