Sam, 1. How about this link - which has some advice: http://www.euroblind.org/resources/guidelines/nr/88#Portable_Document_Format _PDF 2. Ultimately, of course, it's the job of your employer to ensure that material sent to you is accessible to you - although I appreciate that it may not always be easy to ask for this. 3. How about Abbeyy FineReader which does a good job of converting image files (including most PDF files I've given it) into Word for you. 4. There are various online free PDf to txt conversion facilities, but I can't find the one I think most people use at the moment. Hope this may give you some useful things to try. Am I right in thinking that the pdf needs to be created in a particular way is there any guides I can pass onto the people creating the pdf's to ensure they are accessible. Would it help if I had a newer version of jaws software. Did ask about getting a word version but was told they don't won to give out word versions as they can be edited Thanks Sam Sam Howie Resource Worker: Service Modernisation Glasgow City Council Social Work Services 40 John Street, Glasgow, G1 1JL 0141 276 2258 mailto: <mailto:sam.howie@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx> sam.howie@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx Glasgow - Proud host city of the 2014 Commonwealth Games More than 11 days of sport www.gameslegacyglasgow.com ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------- Disclaimer: This message is intended only for use of the addressee.
