The iTunes and the meting are not connected but probably mere coincidence.
Depending on operating system you can run "sndvol.exe" or "sndvol32.exe" to get
you into the volume panels which differ depending on whether you are XP or
VISTA/7.0. In the latter case run "sndvol.exe" and you will immediately be on
the main volume slider where pressing page up a few times ought to bring the
slider up to something near full volume. Pressing tab once will get you to the
"mute" button, press spacebar and you may get some sound.

Perhaps somebody can help with the TAB moves in XP as I don't have one
immediately to hand at the moment.

  Hope this helps.

  Regards.

  Subject: [access-uk] Itunes muting pc

Hi folks, As i hope santa will be dropping in a ipod touch for me tomorrow I
installed Itunes on my pc, on re-start all sounds have been muted. so the
question is using windows vista and jaws 10 is there any way of turning the
volume back on? i have no sighted help at this point, otherwise wouldn't bother
folks at this time. any suggestions would be great, I did think of uninstalling
itunes but again might be hit or miss without sighted help, thanks

  Alistair
