Depending on operating system you can run "sndvol.exe" or "sndvol32.exe" to get you into the volume panels which differ depending on whether you are XP or VISTA/7.0. In the latter case run "sndvol.exe" and you will immediately be on the main volume slider where pressing page up a few times ought to bring the slider up to something near full volume. Pressing tab once will get you to the "mute" button, press spacebar and you may get some sound. Perhaps somebody can help with the TAB moves in XP as I don't have one immediately to hand at the moment. Hope this helps. Regards.
