Hi Damon

My beef with the whole thing is that I am used to going into Windows
Explorer, selecting an external drive, and moving my music around within
various folders. It's just not like that in iTunes, and I know lots of
people with sight who feel the same, so it isn't just me or a screen reader
frustration. I love the Apple accessibility idea, but don't enjoy the
software!

Kind Regards,

No hope for humanity to be fair, Steve.

I find that it flips off into different views which are not at all
intuitive. Retracing with a shift tab in jaws doesn't seem to even take me
on the reverse route out of what I'm in. It shows new things or has edited
some stuff out.

I'd like to be able to see things listed by album whereas it's just track
after track or some unhelpful album cover view which I don’t have time to
sit down and work out. I've spent quite a bit of time on it already though.
It's not intuitive out of the box, it can't be or I'm going to give up this
new media lark and go home.

Hi Damon,

If you are a "Super user" there's no hope for us <Smile>.

I find iTunes easy to use, and for the most part, accessible. So what do
you find wrong with it?

There is only one area where I find it a problem generally, and that is
reordering playlists. Other than that, it is easy.

All the best

Steve

If you can get round the fact that iTunes isn't intuitive for a screenreader
user, despite it somehow being classed as accessible, then you'll be OK. I
find it a real slog to understand and I'm supposed to be a quote 'super
user' unquote. Admittedly I've never read any instructions.

So basically you run iTunes, you put a CD in the drive and it sucks it up
into your computer and hence onto your iPod. It's mostly quite simple in
theory.

Or you may prefer to download something like the beautifully accessible
Cdex, rip all your CDs into mp3 files and then import them to iTunes.

Either way, you just put the CD in the computer's CD tray, it recognises it
immediately, and starts sucking up all the music onto your hard drive.

There's nothing stopping you from downloading both iTunes and Cdex this
afternoon and testing it out before you get an iPod. You'll just be missing
the final step of pushing it onto your portable player.

Was that helpful? Hit the thumbs up sign if you liked what I said. Oh but
there isn't one.

...Damon

Hi,

I have been thinking about buying an I-pod touch, but so far I can not find
any one who can tell me how I can download my CD'S or a DVD on to it?

David Weston.
