Hi John
Excuse my ignorance.  What is a micro device?
All the best Fran.

Hello Fran,

Well, I had just about decided that it was something todo with the
connection. I have (on Friday) ordered a new micro filter, as these can
be unreliable devices. If it remedies the fault, I'll let you know, as
this may also be your problem. Otherwise, I'll have to try Sean's
suggestion.

John.

Hi John
I am using TALKTALK and strangely I have been getting this same problem since about October. I have spoken on numerous occasions and they try to convince me that the fault is in my house. However, now that you are experiencing the same I am more convinced that it is my ISP. Almost always when I log on, I need to reset the router. Someone at Talktalk suggested that I may be blocking the router, but frankly I think this is them passing the buck. I had an electrician check for loose wiring, but he said all was ok. I think we just need to get them to send an engineer at their expense to solve the problem, or ditch them for another provider.
Good luck
Fran.

Subject: [access-uk] Is anyone else using Talktalk as their Internet provider gettting this problem?

Hello All,

for the last 5 orso days I have had frequent (but not all of the time)
inabilities to use my email and web browser. On one PC I am using
Windows 8.1 with NVDA and IE11 and on my old machine I am using Win XP
with JAWS 11 and an older version of IE. The same problem has just
started on both PCs, so I am thinking that it is something my ISP has
done orfailed to do which has changed things.

Is anyone else using TalkTalk having the same problem?

Sometimes if I do a second email download command things will thenwork
OK and the same with a page refresh in the browsers but on other
occasions you are wasting your time trying.

The message I am getting when using the browsers is copied below:

Fix connection problems

Any suggestions?

John.
