Hi Jonathan It really depends on how well people are able to identify numbers. I, for example, have no sight, and would probably be able to feel a number if it were quite large and spaced apart from another. I wonder if something with a shape on it or something more tactile wouldn't be a better idea? I'm not knocking your suggestion of using a Dymo labeller with print numbers, but something more obvious might be a better solution? I want to send out some items for test. There are a slightly different variants of the item, so I'd like to put a serial number on the back so if someone phones to report a problem, question or suggestion, I can lookup which item it was. There are less than 12, so not worth getting braille sheets made up. I have this Dymo 3d labeller, the imprint is quite tactile and well spaced. Would people generally find it acceptable to have a Dymo sticker with: 1 0 1 0 for serial number 10. 1 1 1 0 for serial number 13 etc Not that it matters that it's binary, but this would allow me 16 distinct numbers, and to a non-braille person like me, those two numbers felt distinctively different. Just trying to gauge a group opinion on a quick temporary solution to a simple problem without annoying potential testers!
