Hi Doris, I didn't mention Rockbox, because by the time it was developed for the Archos players, they were discontinued. It's a bit like painting the Fourth Bridge. By the time they develo Rockbox for the Iriver players, Iriver will come out with new ones that aren't Rockbox compatible, and so it begins again. Rockbox is a worthy cause, but so far behind development of the players. All the best -- Computer Room Services: the long cane for blind computer users. Work is beingdone on porting the Rockbox firmware to certain Iriver harddrive-based mp3 players. This is the firware that made the Archos Jukeboxes talk. However, the port to the Iriver players is in the developmental stage still and not ready for primetime yet. hth Doris At 04:39 PM 10/13/2005 +0100, you wrote: >Hi, >is it possible to install speech on to iriver mp3 player? > >Thank you. > >-------------------- > >Ali >** To leave the list, click on the immediately-following link:- >** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=unsubscribe] >** If this link doesn't work then send a message to: >** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx >** and in the Subject line type >** unsubscribe >** For other list commands such as vacation mode, click on the >** immediately-following link:- >** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=faq] >** or send a message, to >** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the Subject:- faq ** To leave the list, click on the immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=unsubscribe] ** If this link doesn't work then send a message to: ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ** and in the Subject line type ** unsubscribe ** For other list commands such as vacation mode, click on the ** immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=faq] ** or send a message, to ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the Subject:- faq ** To leave the list, click on the immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=unsubscribe] ** If this link doesn't work then send a message to: ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ** and in the Subject line type ** unsubscribe ** For other list commands such as vacation mode, click on the ** immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=faq] ** or send a message, to ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the Subject:- faq
