[access-uk] Irfanview help

Hi all.
I've downloaded Irfanview version 3.97 and wish to scan photographs of
family pets. It's been a while since I've used this program and cannot get
it to work.
I've managed to select the twain source fine but the option to Acquire Image
is not on the Alt F drop down menu. Any assistance would be very welcome.
