David, I'm doing all this and have the US English and Australian English and of course the English voice on the rotor, as I've put them there; but I can't find these other voices however hard I try.

Carol

In many screens, do a "rotor"
This is placing two fingers on the screen, twisting them
as if turning a rotary control.
An alternative is, like the one and a half finger tap, by
placing a finger in the middle part of the screen, and
twisting a second around it.
Possibly you will hear:
Characters
Words
Language.
Having hit on "language",
Then a finger swipe up/down the screen should choose your
language.
I don't have my iPhone at hand, but this swipe may be
either two or three fingers.

Still can't find the Irish or South African voices.
There's another setting which I recall seeing yesterday
for English, English US etc but can't remember where I
saw it. Maybe this needs an adjustment to get these
voices working ...

Any ideas?

Hi Sharon.

Unfortunately the new voice that is used for British
English is Daniel, Serena has been retired from active
service. You have the option of an Australian English,
Irish and South African voices as well as the original US
English voice which is Samantha. You can change the
voice by going in to settings/general/accessibility then
voice over, language rotor and selecting the languages
you want to have available to you.

All the best, Ibrahim.

Subject: [access-uk] I-phone Voice

Hi,

I have just upgraded my I-phone 4 to the IOS 5 and now my
voice has changed to Daniel. Is it possible to get the
original female voice back, the one I had before the
upgrade, and if so, how do I do it.

Many thanks.

Sharon
