Hi Saqib.

I use Siri on a daily basis to do many things on my IPhone. I love in particular the system wide dictation, meaning I can dictate in to documents in pages for instance, create notes or dictate text messages. In fact, so good is it that in theory, the time it takes me to dictate and send a message is akin to having a real-time telephone conversation with whom ever it is I am talking to. You can also set alarms which is something I do often, it beats hands down having to go in to the clock application and set them yourself manually, something you had to do up until this came along. As with any voice dictation application, you need to speak clearly and have good diction, try not to slur your words or mumble and dictate in whole sentences, that's especially the case when dictating emails or text messages.

All the best, Ibrahim.

Thanks I've tried Siri and I don't think much of it. It doesn't seem
to respond well. It's a waste of the extra investment in which I had
made. For example I asked Siri to call my wife and it replied I don't
understand or something to that effect. I understand Ibrahim is using
it effectively and I would be facenated to know how he is using Siri
to a good effect. I was in a text composition and wanted to dictate my
message as I thought I could benefit from Siri when it came to texting
and once again the dam thing hung on me.

Hello Sakeb

Just press and hold the home button at the bottom of the I phone screen
until you hear the tone that tells you Siri is active then ask it a
question or give it a command and you are good to go.

All the best

Martin

Hi. I took the plunge and bought an Iphone 4S. Could someone tell me how
I can use Siri on it. The micro sim won't be activated until tomorrow
but the device is running off-line. I have made a connection to my
wireless router and have downloaded the backed up apps from I-cloud.
I'm impressed with the sound quality with voice over running with the
Daniel voice. I would also like to know if there are any text scanning
apps so I can read documents and letters.
