Hi Sayka and anyone uses a Symbian 60 mobile phone,

I think, Sayka, that you'll need a pair of eyes to upgrade your version of Talks. However, you might find the application talked about in the below thread of an interest. It's a long one but if you keep scrolling down you should get all the info re this program. Ah! I suggest that you get Email Stripper or set your punctuation temporary to none in the Jaws verbosity dialogue before you start scrolling down! <Smile>

I haven't used this app - I'm a Symbian 80 user, but get back to me if you need any help.

Hope this helps a bit,

Amro

Has anybody used HalWin to install Talks? Do you just copy the system
folder created by HalWin over to the MMC card, replacing the previous
Talks
system folder? I would like to avoid all of those button presses on the
phone when installing a new version of Talks if possible.

Will

It is a program that is much better then AutoSIS. Being it lets you build
a E:\SYSTEM from almost
any series 60 *.SIS file on your harddrive. then you just copy the SYSTEM
folder to your MMC card
and pop the thing back into your phone and your in business.

The AutoSIS program is the other screen readers version that only works
with their own program and
no ones elses. So you couldn't use AutoSIS to install Talks or any other
series 60 software.

But HalWin will work with almost all series 60 *.SIS files including the
other screenreader makers
files.

Hope that answers your question.
