Thanks Kevin and John,

I have a bluetooth keyboard case on order, so hopefully that will solve the
problem.

I’m using Narrator at the minute and it works reasonably well but NVDA or JAWS
would be better.

Cheers,

Ed

Hi, any keyboard will do the job, if it is a usb one you will need a otg
cable, you can get one on amazon. and if it's a blue tooth keyboard you will
maybe need someone to help you set it up if there is no screen reader
installed. I can't remember if Narrator will work on that screen or not. but
I can tell you this is quite a nice tablet, I have it. I use Nvda and don't
use the touch screen just a blue tooth keyboard, but it is still smaller than
carrying a laptop around.

Subject: [access-uk] Installing JAWS on a Windows 8 tablet

Hi,

I'm trying to install JAWS 15 32 bit on a Toshiba Encore tablet running Windows
8.

I'm able to run the install file and the talking installer loads, but then it
becomes impossible to select or click on options with the touch screen such as
next etc, and it's not possible to use the touch screen to click anything else.

Does anyone know if I need a keyboard attached before installing JAWS? I'm just
using the standard 32 bit version on a micro SD card. Is that right or should
I be using a different file? (The Tablet is running a 32 bit version of Windows
8.)

Thanks,
