And if you have a problem, someone will actually get back to you.

Hi,

Are you kidding? RNIB and Overdrive could learn a lot from Audible. They are fantastic and even have an accessibility team. They even make their betas certainly on Android, public, so we can feed back before release of the next version.

All the best

Speaking personally, the £50 membership fee
would've been better spent on something more
fruitful, eg, betting on landslide election
results for the Lib Dems, you get the idea.
I'm sorry, I don't wish to be deliberately rude,
only one does not expect such lamentably
substandard service from the very organisation
whose raison d'etre is the betterment of living
conditions for the blind and partially-sighted in
this country. Instead, what we have is an
organisation, a commercial concern to all outward
appearances, engaged in some of the worst forms
of capitalistic practices while still claiming to
be a charity. Audable isn't a charity, yet, they
seem to do a far better job to judge from the
level of praise they regularly receive from
members on this list and elsewhere. I could go
on, but I've ranted enough. Thank you for listening. <smile>
Sincerely, Matthew

Hi folks,Still having serious issues with this
programme on my pc,despite contacting RNIB
overdrive team I find myself on the verge of
deleting the damn thing! spent a lot of time
searching for authors and books from the RNIB
overdrive page, ensured the spelling was
correct only to have my searches returned as
errors or not found! which is odd as they were
there at the llaunch of the app! Secondly,
after signing in, I try to download a title, so
click borrow, then click download mp3, only to
be told that this is a master open document
file and where do I want to save it? The mp3
book does not download!Where am I going wrong?I
have read the RNIB notes and endeavour to
follow them correctly!I should add that this is
a pc problem only as I’ve already given up on
the Ipod as a bad job! For some reason
I successfully use my Ipad Air to download a
book, it would however be nice to use the pc! Anyone else experience this?

BEST!
