Hi on this topic as a totally blind person I agree with the original email sender we as totals get a real poor deal with regards to access with sky a massive company. as Pat and I are both total we do feel we loose out though with the iphone accessibility things are better. I cannot understand listening to a program without audio description as you miss so much. sky is not cheap especially when you cannot do a lot of things like a sighted person does it's about time the totals stood up and complained. At 14:54 24/05/2010, you wrote:

I don't have a television, so guess should be the last person to comment on this one. It is my guess that when this particular program is repeated later in the week, it will probably havaudio description.

So should blind people just sit back and except being left out and behind?

What total rubbish.

We'll all be sitting in a corner of a damp room making basket's with this mind set.

 Ta Scott.

Well it's not the end of the world is it. I watch lots of programs
without AD because I tend to forget to turn it on after the children
have turned it off. Stop making such a drama out of it. That problem of
yours is very minor compared to some other blind persons who is sitting
in a third world country without a basic means of a telly nevermind AD.
Stop magnifying your blindness and learn to live with it as its a
sighted world. The world doesn't revolve around blinks. So if AD was
switched off then so be it. I'm sure you got along without the
introduction of AD. I'm not having a go at you. I'm just pointing out
that you can't always have it your way. It's called life.

I'm so pissed off beyond belief! Probably like many people across the
country and the world, I woke up early to watch lost, the last episode
of it. Yet, for hell knows what reason it's not audio described! Every
episode on sky 1 was audio described, yet this last, probably most
crusual one is not being audio described! Maybe it's a technical fault
and that is probably what it is, but it is so so so not fair! I
understand that the episode is being repeated again tomorrow at 9 PM,
but it is still unfair that everyone will be talking about it and that
I have to wait because sky can't be bothered to fix something that
might not be importart to the majoritty of viewers, but it is still important!
I don't know if any of you watch lost and have just now attempted to
watch this last episode, but I would assume you're experiencing the
same problem. This is just umbelievable!
I'm sorry, this is probably somewhat off topic, but I'm so angry and I
had to let it off my chest somewhere and especially since not many
other people are awake this time of the morning, this seemed like the
perfect place.
