Hi Alison,
I believe this is because your phone storage is full.
All the best

Did this too, James but is different this time is that apps which I use daily,
like Calendar and 7 Little Words are also in the Icloud.
As I've mentioned elsewhere, I did get a message yesterday saying my storage
was full. I wondered whether this might be the phone's way of protecting me
against accidental use?

Hello,
This happened to me, but that was because I enabled it and only for aps I don't
use.

I left my iPhone charging overnight and this morning it required me to
enter my password in order to enable fingerprint recognition – ok,
nothing new there.
But this morning most of my apps are in Icloud, including calendar,
reminders and many apps I use regularly.
I had no problem downloading the one I wanted, but has this happened
to anyone else?
