Nothing wrong with the english version of elloquents. I use it all thetime, or to be correct IBM via voice which is the same voices. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jackie Cairns" <cairnsplace@xxxxxxx>

Don't blame you Carol (smiles). When I go to the IT room at our Society to help out, they have the so-called English version of Eloquence running, and ... well ... let's just say I'm fit to screaming after a couple of hours in there!!

Amro,

Thanks, thanks! I'm just so annoyed because I never expect to find it there ... but anyway, now I've turned the rotten language detection off and I'm very happy!

Hi Carol and Jim,

I think the language detection setting can be rather found in text processing in the config manager. That's in Jaws 7 and 8. Not sure about Jaws 6, haven't check it.

Hi carol,

JawsKey+6 on the top row to bring up the configuration menu.

choose the HTML settings from the set options menu and in the text tab,
tab to the detect languages item and uncheck it.

Jim.

Hi all,

Forgive a quick JAWS question but I can never remember where to turn off language detection permanently and not just in the Verbosity Settings. I can never locate this in the Help either ...

Any help most welcome.
