Why are we still getting these annoying equals signs and garbled pound signs on this list? Let's start with portable Bibles. First, we have the Bible Courier. This is like the Book Courier, except = a little thinner, as it doesn't have a place for the flash card. It is a stand-alone unit. It comes in four versions, World English Bible, = American Standard Version, King James Version, and finally, the New International Version, which is the British derivative, approved and copyrighted by = Torch Trust, whom I would like to publicly thank for assisting me in getting = this available. More info at http://www.bookcourier.com. You can also import some of these Bibles, except the New International Version, into the Book Courier. Next, we have MegaVoice, which is an inexpensive, but effective, = stand-alone Talking Bible. It comes in two versions, the King James, and the New American Standard Version. This is sold by us, Computer Room Services, = and Torch. It is priced at =A340. I forgot to mention that the = Biblecourier is priced at =A3130. However, it is more advanced, and allows bookmarking, = but the down side, is that it has the synthetic voice. Megavoice is also = solar powered and is a human voice recording. Of course, Torch sell the Online Bible, which has many versions on it, = and this can be found at http://www.onlinebible.org. However, the most accessible online Bible in my view, is Theophilos, and this can be found = at http://www.theophilos.sk. This has many versions, including the Koran. I know of no version of the Koran or other religious texts, on a = stand-alone machine. I hope this helps. All the best -- Computer Room Services: the long cane for blind computer users. I'd like to = have something on about this in the near future. Would anyone who has had difficulty getting hold of Christian or material relating to other = faiths, or who has found solutions, computer related or otherwise to overcoming difficulties please email me at Ian.macrae@xxxxxxxxx I'm aware of the = book courier bible. But in what range of formats is the Koran, for example, available? Look forward to hearing your stories.
