Hi Tris,

Outlook is a piece of cake to set up with Imap. What gave you the idea that
it isn't?

All the best

Steve

IMAP4 for is great provided both your email service and email client both
support it, most do but not all and sometimes not well. The main pro is
that you can run multiple email clients with the same account because the
principle of IMAP is synchronisation rather than downloading. You
synchronise your email client with what is held on the server, you can of
course delete things when you want to.

One disadvantage is just that it can be a fiddle to set up so it works
properly for you, consult with your ISP. I must say that in that regard
Outlook has been the worst in my experience but it can be done.

I use it with Gmail and Mac mail client which simply just works (for about
five years now) and wouldn't use anything else now. I don't regularly
however use multiple email clients with it though (but have one on test) but
it does mean the www.gmail.com and my Mac Mail are pretty tightly in sync
including the various folders I use.

Regards.
